And Dangerous to Know

Hear ye! Hear ye! We’ve got news!  And it’s terrific news!

There will be not just one but THREE new Rosalind Thorne mysteries!  Thanks so much to the fabulous Wendy McCurdy and Kensington Books for giving me the chance to continue Rosalind’s adventures.  I am super excited to be joining the Kensington family.

The publication date isn’t final yet, but I can tell you that the first of the new books will be:

Yep.  You guessed it.  Rosalind is about to find herself emeshed in the trials and tangles surrounding that most notorious poet of the Regency — George Gordon, Lord Byron, and the most famous of his mistresses, the utterly ungovernable Lady Caroline Lamb.

Bow Street officer Adam Harkness must ask Rosalind to help him investigate an unsettling occurance at Devonshire House.  For generations, the house’s inhabitants have moved in the highest circles of society, politics, and scandal. Lady Caroline Lamb, the unpredictable and possibly unstable mistress of Lord Byron is just the latest example of an unruly sorority that goes back decades.

But even for the residents of Devonshire house, a corpse in the courtyard is a bridge too far.  And it is the wild and willful Lady Caroline who is the prime, or at least the most popular, suspect in the poor woman’s untimely death.  Everybody believes she must somehow be at fault, especially her mother-in-law, Lady Melbourne.

It’s going to be up to Rosalind to sort out the whole truth from the viscious gossip.  In the process, she might just discover that mad, bad Lady Caroline is the least dangerous to know of the whole Devonshire House circle.
